PAST CCT ACTIVITIES

Discovery starship

This year's Holiday Club, 'STARSHIP DISCOVERY' was held during the first week of the summer holiday and we were delighted to welcome twenty three youngsters between five and nine to share in five mornings of craft, games, drama, music, challenges and Bible stories in the Parish Hall.

Each day we launched into space to seek new adventures and returned exhausted by lunchtime!

This year the children particularly enjoyed the competitive element of a daily space and bible facts quiz plus the opportunity to share jokes with each other.

On the final morning we gave parents and carers a taste of what we had been doing all week and this was received with a great deal of laughter and positive comment. We concluded with everybody doing the Hokey Cokey!

Holiday Club allows the children to explore faith through various activities, specific Bible input and the relationships they form with the adult helpers and each other during the week.

The children had a wonderful week at the CCT Jungle Jamboree.

They dressed up as mummies, painted pictures made collages and masks of the jungle and enjoyed the drama stories.

They had lots of sticky fun making animal face biscuits to eat, and maybe to take home.

All the adult helpers liked to join in with the silly Jungle Jamboree theme song!
